Ticket machine faults
Our pay and display machines are maintained regularly, however
technical issues are sometimes unavoidable.
If you park at a location where the ticket machine is not
working, please follow these steps:
1. Check for other ticket machines - often each
car park or on-street area will have more than one ticket machine,
if there is another ticket machine within the parking area you must
attempt to purchase a pay and display ticket from it.
2. Call 0845 600 6400 to report the fault - if
you can, please report the fault giving a fault description where
possible and the location and ticket machine number.
3. If you have not been able to buy a ticket from a different
machine please place a note on your vehicle dashboard so that it is
clearly visible to our Civil Enforcement Officers, stating that the
ticket machine was out of order and the time of your arrival. If
you have reported the fault please also state this on the note.
You may receive a Penalty Charge Notice if a Civil Enforcement
Officer observes your vehicle without a valid pay and display
ticket, following these steps may help prevent this.
