Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service opens its doors for family fun day

Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service is opening its doors to the public for a fun-filled Open Day on Saturday 6th September at the Service Headquarters, in Cramlington. The event offers something for everyone from firefighter demonstrations to delicious local food.
Visitors will have the chance to get up close with emergency service vehicles, watch live fire and rescue demonstrations, and meet the dedicated crews who keep Northumberland safe. Our Fire Cadets will also be showcasing their skills in special displays.
Highlights include:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to see first-hand the work we do, meet our staff, and enjoy a brilliant day out,” said Lynsey McVay, Interim Chief Fire Officer of Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re bringing the kids for a day of activities, want to learn more about emergency services, or simply enjoy great food and entertainment, there’s something here for you.
