If you are looking for a career change, a new job, a part-time job or even your first job, your Northumberland Library can help by providing:

 

Books

Your library has books on all aspects of job hunting - where to look, how to fill in an application form or write a CV and giving the best possible interview.

 

Internet Access

Library members can use the Internet free for up to two hours a day. Use a library PC to search for jobs, download and email application forms and research the company you are applying to work for.

 

Aptitude and Psychometric Testing

Many companies use aptitude and psychometric testing as part of an interview to assess candidtates. Your library has books to help you with these tests and Internet access so that you can practise apitutde and psychometric tests online.

 

Career Guides

The library has university guides and prospectuses, as well as Internet access so that you can see what information is online to help you decide. There are also books to help you write the perfect university application.

As a community hub, the library provides information from local colleges and community centres where you can take a vocational course, GCSEs, A Levels or an adult class. Your library can also help you by providing the information for a distance or open learning course.
