Councillors Allowances
Northumberland County Council operates a
scheme of members allowances, which it is allowed to do by law.
The level of members allowances is set on the
basis of advice from an Independent Remuneration Panel.
The scheme of allowances for the current year,
approved by a decision of council in April 2009, is published
in section 6 of the council constitution, which can be found
here.
