Special Schools and Special Units Consultation – Autumn
2012
The County Council is carrying out a
consultation on a proposal to alter the age ranges and designation
of Special Schools and Special Units within Northumberland from 1
September 2013.
The proposals would involve changes to the age
ranges and amendments to the designation of the eight special
schools within Northumberland (Cleaswell Hill School, Cramlington
Hillcrest School, The Dales School, Collingwood School & Media
Arts College, Atkinson House School, Barndale House School, Hexham
Priory School and the Grove Special School) as well as Berwick
Middle School and Hexham East First School in respect of their
special units.
The consultation document gives further
information on the proposals, plus details of the public meetings
which have been organised at each of the schools affected to
provide information and answer questions.
