NCC Records Management Service

Welcome to the homepage of the Northumberland County Council Records Management Service, formerly the Modern Records Service.  The service comprises the following:

 

The Records Management Service is a corporate service that supports the continuity and integration of business across the new Northumberland County Council.

The service is based at Woodhorn and has close links with the Northumberland Collections Service (formerly Northumberland Archive Service).

The aim of the Records Management Service is to offer advice and prepare policy and guidance documents for the new unitary authority.  This will ensure efficient and effective creation, access and storage of the council’s records.

  • All staff have a legal responsibility to maintain records of their activities.

Woodhorn Document Storage and Retrieval Service

The Woodhorn Document Storage and Retrieval Service is an offsite records storage facility operated by the Woodhorn Charitable Trust and the Northumberland County Council Records Management Service.  For more information about the service please visit the Woodhorn Document Storage and Retrieval Service webpage.

Records can be requested from the Document Storage and Retrieval Service, using the online request form.  Please give us a much detail as possible to assist in the retrieval of the correct file. The form can be accessed by clicking on this link to the Online Records Request Form.
