Northumberland Safeguarding Adults Board
The Northumberland Safeguarding Adults Board is the multi-agency
body charged with safeguarding adults at risk (vulnerable adults)
in Northumberland. The Board is presently a non-statutory
body. It works in accordance with the ‘No Secrets’ guidance
issued by the Department of Health in 2001 and the National
Framework of Standards for Safeguarding issued in 2005 by the
Association of Directors of Adult Social Services.
ADASS have just published a new national
policy statement for April 2011 and the Board will be reviewing and
developing its future work in accordance with that guidance.
