A view of Morpeth and the river

Residents invited to latest Morpeth Forum event

Updates on future plans for Morpeth and more on proposals for key sites in the town will all be on show in Morpeth Forum’s latest event.

The drop-in update and feedback session at the Town Hall will take place on Thursday, October 17 from noon to 6pm.

It will include proposals and feedback for a new indoor bouldering centre, plans for Hillgate site and plans for a new bike pump track.

The event will also feature displays by local businesses, partner organisations and County Council teams.

Councillor Richard Wearmouth, Cabinet Member for Supporting Business and Opportunities, said: “There’s a lot of positive work happening across our towns and it’s good to be able to share that with residents and get their views on what’s planned.

“No doubt residents have seen progress on a number of schemes in the town over the past few months and this is an opportunity to find out exactly where we’re at as well as get updates on a number of exciting developments.”

Morpeth Mayor Betty Bawn commented: "Previous public consultation events in Morpeth have been a great success and I would like to encourage as many residents as possible to come along and get the latest information on both public and private sector developments in the town, as well as to take this opportunity to raise any queries or concerns they may have.”
