Electoral Register door-knock set to get underway
18 Oct 2024 ARCHIVED (over 3 months old) - view latest news
Northumberland residents who were required to respond to the voter registration form and have not already done so will receive a knock at the door from 18 October, as canvassers start to visit outstanding properties.
Canvassers will only visit properties where a form requires a response, and none has been received.
All of our canvassers will have Northumberland County Council photo ID badges and hi-vis jackets, and we encourage residents to check these before giving out any information.
Residents will be asked limited information relating to voter registration, such as name and nationality and sign the form, this only takes a couple of minutes at the door. If there is no response after two visits, canvassers will post the form through the letter box.
If you have recently moved, or your details are not included on the form, you can register now online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
