A multi-million-pound budget for the coming year has been approved at Full Council.  
 

The budget includes a £307 million capital programme for 2022/23 covering a range of service areas from affordable housing to leisure centres and a range of renewable energy schemes. 

Savings of £9.7 million for the year ahead were also agreed.  

This year’s budget is the result of several months of planning, consultation and scrutiny. 

As well as passing through a number of council committees, the proposals were also available for the public to comment on and submit questions to senior councillors and staff.
