Flu Vaccine Mythbuster

Northumberland County Council alongside Public Health England and NHS England are urging everyone who is eligible, to get their winter flu vaccination.
Flu vaccination is particularly for those who are at increased risk from the effect of flu, such as, pregnant women, children aged two to eight, people over the age of 65, those who have long term health problems and those who work closely with older or disabled people. The vaccination for children is not an injection but a quick nasal spray.
The flu vaccine is the best protection we have against an unpredictable virus. It is vital that those eligible have it every year as the vaccine protects against different strains of flu which can change and/or evolve each year. It’s free because you need it.
If you are eligible for the flu vaccination then contact your GP and make your appointment today.
