Affordable homes built for sale at a reduced price are known as Discounted Market Sales. Also as Discounted Market Value (DMV). They must always be bought and re-sold at the agreed level of discount from the open market value price. Speak to the sales team, they should explain if the home you are looking to buy is a DMV home.

DMV homes must be the main permanent home of the eligible homeowner. You cannot buy them as a second or holiday home, or for renting to someone else.

We will need to approve an appropriate discounted sales price before you put the home on the market.

Any potential buyer must complete a DMV eligibility application form as explained above.

DMV properties can only be rented out in exceptional circumstances. You will need our approval before letting out your home.
