• Read the advert, job description & person specification carefully.
• Add all your current qualifications.
• Take your time.
• Promote yourself.
• Make sure your contact details are correct.
• Tell us why you want to work for Northumberland County Council.
• Add your references.

Interview process
If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend an interview. Apprenticeship interviews are like interviews for any other job. It may be face to face or online (via Zoom or Microsoft Teams for example).

• Research the council and what it does.
• Think about how you are getting to your interview.
• Arrive with plenty of time.
• Dress appropriately.
• Practice interview questions.
• Prepare to ask questions.
