Information for parents

If you’re a parent who feels your child may benefit from our Service, please raise your concerns with staff at school; they will be able to determine if involvement from this Service would be beneficial.

Information for schools

The team have worked to provide all SENCos (special educational needs coordinators) with an assessment screening tool, to enable them to set initial SMART targets to manage the needs of the learner. After two cycles of Assess-Plan-Do-Review, if progress remains a concern, SENCos can request support from Northumberland County Council’s Literacy Support Team.
