Fostering Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC)

Find out how you can support asylum seeking children and young people (UASC) in Northumberland.

We have a growing number of young people arriving in the Northeast of England without their parents or a responsible adult to take care of them.

Young people have the same needs regardless of their country of birth. They need adults to take care of them, who can offer support to reach their potential, and to be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare for independent adult life.
