What's Happening in Northumberland Libraries

There is always lots going on in Northumberland Libraries. We hold a variety of events throughout the year, including children and adult craft activities, family history events, author talks and much more.

National Libraries Day 2015

National Libraries Day 2015Northumberland Libraries are celebrating National Libraries Day on Saturday 7th February with a range of ‘magical’ events for children.

Morpeth, Berwick and Blyth libraries are hosting Harry Potter-themed events. Children will be treated by library staff to stories, quizzes, crafts and games.  Fancy dress, for children and their adults, is welcome but optional.

At Cramlington, Bedlington, Guide Post, Newbiggin, Ashington and Bedlington Station activity tables will be available during the libraries usual morning opening hours.  So, whether you’re a witch with a magic wand or a wizard who owns a sorting hat, there’ll be something for you to enjoy.

On a different theme Blyth library is hosting a ‘come in from the cold’ event.  Staff there will be providing refreshments and an opportunity for customers old and new to see what the library has to offer.

All Northumberland’s National Libraries Day events are free but it is advisable to contact Morpeth, Berwick, Blyth or Hexham to book in advance to avoid disappointment.  Interest is likely to be high and numbers are limited for those events.

Please click on the event for more information and booking details.
