Advice to consumers

Together with our partners in Citizens Advice consumer service we operate a Consumer Helpline to provide clear impartial advice to consumers and businesses on their rights and obligations when buying and selling goods and services.

The Citizens Advice consumer service provides free, confidential and impartial advice on consumer issues. Visit www.adviceguide.org.uk or call the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 08454 040506. You can also use this line to report concerns about under age sales of restricted goods to children.

The Northumberland and  North Tyneside Trader Register has been set up by Northumberland and North Tyneside Trading Standards for the benefit of both local consumers and businesses across the regions.  Traders have committed to providing a high level of customer service and compliance with consumer protection legislation.
