On the first day of Christmas Discover our Land gave to me... lots of Shop Local Christmas joy. 
 

To help support local retailers and businesses this festive period, Northumberland County Council’s Shop Local, Shop Northumberland campaign has launched a special Christmas Advent inspired prize giveaway. 
 

Over the next few weeks followers to the campaign’s social media pages and website will be able to open the door on a different prize draw from a range of independent retailers. 
 

Followers will be encouraged to sign up to the campaign to be in with a chance of winning one of the fantastic prizes. Businesses across the county are supporting the Christmas Advent giveaway and prizes include vouchers for hardware store McGees in Prudhoe as well as special Christmas packs from Caribe Coffee Co, in Morpeth. 
 

There’s also toys up for grabs from Mr Wolf toyshop in Hexham, as well as vouchers from Urban Pooch, at Amble Marina which sells all the latest doggy trends and accessories. Book stores, coffee shops and clothing shops and boutiques are also offering prizes for the draw. 
 

Starting on Monday (Dec 6) the giveaway will run until Dec 17 and winners will be contacted in time to claim their prize before Christmas.
