Family Engineering Challenge with Woodhorn Museum

Come and join us at our special family engineering events. We have joined with Woodhorn Museum and will be hosting sessions at our libraries in Ashington, Blyth and Bedlington.

The coal mines at Ashington once formed the biggest pit village in the world but getting coal out of the ground wasn't easy. The deepest mine shaft at Woodhorn was 271m below the ground! Come and have a go at building a transport system that would get coal in and out of a vertical mine shaft!

These sessions are suitable for children aged 7+ and parents/guardians must stay for the duration.  Please can only one adult per family attend.
