Here you will find information about current and planned public consultations. We rely on public consultations to ensure that we can capture as much feedback as possible, in order to continually improve our service.

PLEASE NOTE: There are currently no public consultations in place for Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service. When information about a future consultation becomes available, it will be published here.

An Unwanted Fire Signal (UwFS) is a false alarm, or anything other than a genuine fire or test signal.
 
In March 2018, we held a public consultation asking for feedback on the introduction of the cost recovery process. The request for feedback consisted of seven questions, outlined in the document below:
The purpose of this consultation was for the public to identify their priorities and concerns so we can shape and improve our services.
 
In September 2017, the consultation for the Fire and Rescue Plan came to a close, and a final version of the plan was drawn up.

During the consultation period (July 2014 - September 2014), members of the public and key stakeholder organisations were invited to provide their comments on the proposal via an online survey, a drop-in session and other meetings.

During the consultation period (October 2013 - December 2013), an open meeting and online survey provided opportunities for members of the public and local community representatives to have their say on the proposals, and on the future role and priorities of the fire and rescue service in north Northumberland.
