Shepherds Walks was set up by Jon Monks 13 years ago. What started as an online guide to walks around Rothbury is now a thriving business offering bespoke walking tours and holidays for individuals and groups, tailored events and walking festivals, GPS training for adults and school children and a retail arm selling mohair socks.

Online marketing and sales has played a major part in the growth of Shepherds Walks. Thanks to superfast broadband, Jon plans to grow the business by another 50% in 2014.
