My Northumberland Account is a free, interactive and secure online service that will make it easier and more convenient for you to access council services online.

My Northumberland Account is a free, interactive and secure service that will make it easier and more convenient for you to access council services online.

At the click of a button - anytime, anywhere - you can now access:

Council Tax: switch to paperless billing and manage your account online.

News updates: get your quarterly copy of the Northumberland News residents magazine and occasional news updates emailed to you.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be adding new services over the next few months and will email account holders as they become available. At the moment, we only offer council tax services and news updates.


Our online Planning Portal is not part of My Northumberland Account and can be accessed separately here.

 
My Northumberland Account is a completely new system that will allow you to manage many council services over time, rather than just your Council Tax and therefore you will need to create a new account.

To create a new account you will need:

  1. an email account.
  2. your latest council tax paper bill (that was posted to you in March 2019).

I have forgotten my login details?
 
You can reset your password or resend your account security code from here. We’ll ask you a few questions to validate you are the account holder.
 
What else can I do with my account?
 
PLEASE NOTE: You can currently access Council Tax information and Northumberland news updates, but we will be adding new services over the next few months and will email account holders when they become available.
 
Can I view my old Council tax bills?
 
Annual bills for the last two years are currently available
 
Can I see my Council Tax payment balance?
 
We are working on this feature now and account holders will be emailed when this feature is live.
 
I have moved house, or my circumstances have changed.
 
Please fill in the change of circumstances form, you won’t need to register again once we update your details, your new bills will appear.
 
Will this affect my payments?
 
No, you can still pay your Council Tax online, or as you normally do.
 
Will I be notified when a new bill comes out?
 
Yes, we’ll send you an email to let you know when a new bill arrives.
