Civil Parking Enforcement

On 17 April 2012, the County Council took over the role of parking enforcement from Northumbria Police. There are no changes to where you can and can’t park but council staff (Civil Enforcement Officers) will be enforcing the rules rather than Northumbria Police.

Disabled parking - blue badges

The Blue Badge scheme enables disabled people to park in places on-street where other drivers are not permitted, to ensure that they have access to public facilities.
