GENERAL ALERT: Overnight Roadworks on A189 Spine Road 9 June to 6 July
There will be overnight road closures on the A189 Spine Road between the Bebside and Three Horse Shoes roundabouts starting from 8pm on Monday 9th June until 6am on Saturday 6th July 2025.
Traffic will be diverted via the A193 & B1505 during the overnight closures and please be aware that there are also temporary traffic lights on the A193 at Front Street in Bebside.
The A189 will be closed so that drainage works can take place, along with works for the new footbridge that will link to Blyth Bebside station from Chase Meadows.

GENERAL ALERT: June Weekend Engineering Works on the Northumberland Line
Following on from Easter's line closure, there will be 3 weekends in June with rail service changes due to platform construction at Bedlington Station.
Affected Dates:
Fri 6 to Mon 9 June
Sat 21 and Sun 22 June
Sat 28 and Sun 29 June
These works require safe access near the tracks, which can only happen during line closures or overnight.
What’s Running?
An hourly train service between Newsham, Seaton Delaval and Newcastle (most trains also call at Manors, except Sundays).
A bus replacement service will run between Ashington and Newsham, connecting with trains to/from Newcastle.
Parking: In addition to Newsham and Seaton Delaval station car parks, you can also use Blyth Town FC’s car park on Sandringham Drive (except Sat 7 June due to an event).
