Bedlington regeneration

12 Dec 2016

Plans for the latest stage in the county council regeneration of Bedlington, with nearly 200 new jobs, can now be viewed online.

Public and private investment totalling more than £27 million is pouring in, as part of the council's county-wide Market Towns Initiative of restoring key services and employment from a distant HQ back to where local residents need them. After the new high school, affordable housing and parks revamp, a scheme including a supermarket and other shops is being proposed by development company Arch for the former Tesco site.
