A section of the proposed Blyth Relief Road

Relief Road team address Cramlington queries

Since consultation went live, the Blyth Relief Road team had a number of queries from residents about the proposal in the vicinity of the A189.

The proposal is as set out in the plan below and will include the closure of the southbound merge from the A1061 to the A189. Traffic travelling from Blyth towards Newcastle would join the A189 at the Three Horseshoes roundabout via the new relief road.

No changes are proposed for people travelling from Newcastle to Cramlington via the A189.
