Bulky waste is any waste type that is too large to be disposed of via our regular waste collections. This can be anything from garden furniture, televisions, fridges, and carpets.

You can dispose of bulky waste items in various different ways:
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Waste Management will be suspending all assisted bulky items collections immediately until the situation passes.

PLEASE NOTE: You don’t have to stay at home for us to collect any large waste items as long as you are able to get them outside, in an accessible location, by 7:00am on collection day.
We determine collection prices by how many items you have, and whether you are eligible for a concessionary discount.
The prices below do not apply to landlords and property developers. If you are a landlord or property developer who requires a bulky waste collection, please call us on 0345 600 6400.
*We offer a 25% discount for people claiming council tax support and/or housing benefits.

Concessionary rates do not apply to quoted collections.
We can remove small amounts of hazardous household waste (terms and conditions apply) such as asbestos, some garden pesticides, and flammable solvents. See our hazardous waste collection service for more information.
We can quote for removal of your plastic oil heating tanks but they must be cut in half, disconnected from pipe work and completely empty of oil (concessionary rates do not apply to quoted collections). Alternatively, cut and clean as mentioned and take them to your household waste recovery centre (HWRC). See our HWRC service for more information.

If you are booking a concession collection you must book by telephone or in person, as you will be asked to provide evidence of eligibility.
