Training that is provided to Passenger Transport Operators so they have the ability to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults to protect their welfare.

The council recognises that safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.

We would like to ensure that all frontline staff (drivers and passenger transport assistants) who are deployed on contracts which transport school children, young people, and vulnerable adults receive appropriate training and regular briefings so that they understand their roles and responsibilities and are confident in carrying them out.

With this in mind we have developed Child & Adult Safeguarding Training for Passenger Transport Operators which is being delivered to all frontline staff.
