There are three roles to choose from as a Community Health Champion:
You are agreeing to receive Public Health updates and campaign resources, which you can then share with your community and social networks.
In addition to agreeing to receive Public Health updates and campaign resources, you are invited to attend quarterly message shaping meetings via Teams. Message shaping meetings will give people the opportunity to give us feedback on the information received via the mailing list and help us shape health messages for their community's needs.
Individuals who sign up as a Shaper will be sent a link to a 'Making Every Contact Count for Champions' webinar, which is designed to help develop people's skills and knowledge in sharing health messages and having health related conversations.
You are registering your interest in a formal volunteer position with Northumberland County Council. Within this role, you will support Northumberland's Health Trainers and wider Public Health team.
Full training is provided for the role of a Supporter, including a volunteer induction and Royal Society of Public Health Level 2 Award in Understanding Health Improvement.
Shapers and Sharers are not formal volunteers and are not committing a set amount of time to the role.
You must be aged 16 or over and live or work in Northumberland.
