The aims of the Presentation were to demonstrate how to nativigate the General Permitted Development Order (2015) (GPDO) legislaton. A document was also presented which demonstrates the Permitted Development Rights as a visual guide.

The aims of this Presentation were to provide a introduction to Neighbourhood Plans and to share thoughts with Parish and Town Council and Council Officers on what has gone well, what could be improved and what are the next steps for Neighbourhood Planning in Northumberland. The Presentation was delivered on 24 January 2022.

The aims of this Presentation were to provide an overview of Enforcement's role within Planning. It is mainly to address harm. Enforcement happens when there is a problem after a decision or after no decision (i.e. development with no planning consent). The Presentation clarified that when the Local Planning Authority (LPA) receives an alleged breach of planning regulations. Therefore, proportionality is important. The investigation mechanisms available to an LPA were then explained. Additionally, the topic of retrospective applications came up. The Presentation explains how retrospective permissions regularise development. View the Introduction to Enforcement presentation.
