The local community are invited to celebrate the start of the festive season at a special Christmas Carol service at Hexham Abbey which will take place at 7pm on Monday 9 December. 

Entry is by ticket only and they are available for free at www.ticketsource.co.uk/n-c-c 

The service will feature Christmas carols and music from the British Army Band from Catterick, The Sele First School and Vox Populi.   There will also be Bible readings from the High Sherriff of Northumberland, Mrs Lucia Bridgeman, The Civic Head of Northumberland, John Beynon and Helen Sutherland, chair of the North Northumberland Branch of the National Autistic Society.
