Take the next step in your career at Prudhoe Jobs Fair
06 Sep 2023
Major national and local employers will be talent spotting at a jobs fair in Prudhoe this week (Friday September 8).
Aldi UK, EGGER Group, Essity, Home Instead UK, Karbon Homes, Newcastle United Foundation, Northumberland County Council and Thompsons of Prudhoe are among the businesses and organisations signed up to attend.
Taking place at the Northumberland Skills’ Prudhoe Campus, at the Fuse Media Centre, the free event will be a great opportunity for anyone looking for full-time, part-time, apprenticeship or seasonal work, courses or employment support.
As well as chatting to employers, there will be free CV workshops at 11am and 1pm to learn about creating or updating your CV.
Councillor Wojciech Ploszaj, Cabinet Member for Supporting Business and Opportunities at Northumberland County Council, said: “We know that quality and sustainable careers are vital in tackling inequalities and improving the lives of our residents.
“There are lots of new opportunities for employment that are being generated by investment across our county.
“However, many employers are finding it difficult to recruit the right people and too many residents are not getting the training and jobs they seek to fulfil their career aspirations.
“We work with employers, training providers, and our voluntary and community sector services to make sure there are pathways to good quality and sustainable jobs.
“This can’t be done without the active involvement of employers in making sure organisations are delivering services that meet their immediate recruitment needs and prepare people for the jobs of the future.
“We would like to thank everyone who is supporting this event.”
Councillor Gordon Stewart, County Councill for Prudhoe South, said: “These Job Fairs get bigger and better and it’s fantastic to see so many opportunities for residents in Prudhoe and the Tynedale.”
