Niamh, a Level 3 health and wellbeing apprentice knew university wasn’t for her and is reaching her potential with an apprenticeship. Niamh said: “I didn't want to go to university, and I’ve always been interested in healthy lifestyles and helping others so when I saw this apprenticeship, I knew it would be a great fit.

“I have really enjoyed my first year and the support from managers has been amazing, so if you're thinking about doing an apprenticeship, just go for it.”

The council is encouraging anyone considering applying for an apprenticeship to come along to a careers event, browse the different types of apprenticeships available, ask questions and chat with current apprentices and managers.
