Northumberland County Council celebrates National Customer Service Week 2021

Northumberland County Council is celebrating this year’s National Customer Service Week (NCSW), which is being held from 4 – 8 October 2021.

This week-long campaign from the Institute of Customer Service is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and organisations across the county to celebrate the outstanding customer service, demonstrated across Northumberland every day, as well as reflecting on the outstanding customer service delivered over the past 18 months during the pandemic.

Cllr Richard Wearmouth, Cabinet Member with responsibility for corporate services said: “Throughout the pandemic our staff have continued to work hard to provide our communities and residents with an excellent quality of service.

“Customer Service Week gives us the opportunity to shine a light on the fantastic work being done, not only by our own staff, but by individuals and business across the county, whilst highlighing our commitment to the ‘Service with Respect’ pledge which ensures our staff and others are treated with respect whilst carrying out their essential roles.”

Throughout the week Northumberland County Council will be sharing a range of content and videos linked to the Institiute of Customer Service’s daily themes, as well as sharing best practice from our partners on social media.

Also during this week of celebration, the county council will be highlighting their commitment to the Institute of Customer Service’s ‘Service with Respect’ pledge which combats verbal and physical abuse of customer facing staff.
