No touch tools donated to frontline key workers

Northumberland County Council’s key workers have received a kind donation of ‘No Touch Tools’ from Collingwood School and Media Arts College.

Designed to help support staff wellbeing during the coronavirus pandemic, the keyrings can be used to push buttons or open and close doors, and can be easily cleaned, making moving around buildings much safer and easier during this time. 

Cath McEvoy-Carr, Executive Director with responsibility for Children’s Service said: “This is such an innovative use of a keyring, and certainly helps ease any anxieties people may have when moving around buildings.

“We are extremely grateful to Collingwood School and Media Arts College for sharing these with us, and thinking of our staff.”
 
The ‘No Touch Tool’ keyrings are made from durable plastic and have been made to last.
 
Gillian Linkleter, Headteacher at Collingwood School and Media Arts College said:
“The No Touch Tool is one of many innovative ways in which we have ensured that the school remains safe and secure during the pandemic.  If something as simple as this eases even the slightest of anxiety, it goes a long way in helping us move forward.”
