Forum for landlords to be held in Blyth

Landlords and agents based in South East Northumberland are invited to attend development forum being organised by Northumberland County Council.

The free event, will be held at the Civic Centre, Renwick Road, Blyth, NE24 2BA on Tuesday the 22nd of January between  5:15pm – 7:00pm.
The event aims to update landlords on any new legislation, highlight any industry issues and demonstrate the services that the council can offer  to landlords.

Representatives from Jacksons Law  and the National Landlords Association will be addressing the forum on a range of issues.
The forum is a partnership between Northumberland County Council, private landlords and letting agents working in the private rented sector to share information and ideas and promote the views of private landlords in contributing to the improvement of the county’s housing.

Northumberland County Councillor, John Riddle, cabinet member for planning, housing and resilience said:
“There are a number of services the council can offer to private landlords, which they may not be aware of, such as a free tenant vetting service. This forum will not only help to demonstrate what we can do, but also give landlords an opportunity to network and find out about upcoming industry issues.”

Any landlord or agent wishing to attend should register their interest.
You can do this by emailing privatesectorhousing@northumberland.gov.uk with your name and address, or calling the team on (01670) 624526.
