Letting agents invited to forum

Private letting agents are being invited to a forum next month to share best practice and get an update on any industry changes.
The North of Tyne Managing Agent Event is a joint event between Northumberland County Council, North Tyneside Council and Newcastle City Council, together with the National Landlords Association.
This year’s event will be held on Wednesday 6 June at the Holiday Inn, Seaton Burn. It is third year the event has been held, when more than 100 agents attending last year’s forum.
It is an opportunity for letting agents to hear what services are on offer from their local council, as well as hearing from industry leaders.
Presentations at this year’s event include an update on all inclusive bills from One Utility; data protection requirements for the property sector from Ward Haddaway and a Universal Credit Q&A from the Department of Work and Pensions.
There will also be a number of trade stands from organisations including Northumbrian Water, Natwest Bank and The Valuation Office.
Philip Soderquest, Head of Housing and Public Protection at Northumberland County Council, said: “Now in its third year this event continues to go from strength to strength.
“It is a key date for letting agents from across the county and will give them essential industry information, as well as allowing them the opportunity to meet up with other agents.”
