Hepscott Park Horticultural Skills Unit is in full bloom

A range of colourful plants and flowers will be on sale at Hepscott Park Horticultural Skills Unit (HSU) on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May and Saturday 9th June, from 10am until 3pm, to help anyone brighten up their garden for summer.

Don’t be fooled by all the building work that is going on at Hepscott Park at the moment. The HSU garden centre and cafe are still open for business.

The HSU offers training and work experience for adults with learning difficulties -  and is opening its garden centre for these two special plant sales.

People are invited to go along to the special sales to have a look round and to stock up on plants to bring colour to their gardens.

Manager Clive Moon said: “We are delighted to offer a wide range of bedding plants, perennials, hanging baskets, vegetable plants and herbs at our garden centre.

“As well as the training unit and garden centre, Hepscott Park Garden Cafe is open from Monday to Saturday each week, including Bank Holidays, offering a delicious range of meals, cakes and drinks.

“There is also a small woodland walk which is fun for all the family and dogs are welcome too.

“We are still very much open for business, despite the building work, and hope that  people aren’t put off visiting us.”

As well as the special sales plants can still be purchased during the rest of the week.

Hepscott Park is off the A192 Morpeth to Cramlington Road; just follow the brown sign to ‘Garden Cafe’.
