With work on the Morpeth Northern Bypass now in its final stages, a few final road closures are required to complete work ahead of the official opening.
The Northgate Roundabout and the tie-in with the A192 requires extensive traffic management and diversions.
From today (Monday 27 March), a short section of the A192 road north of the new Northgate Roundabout is temporarily closed to allow these works to proceed.
All traffic to and from Morpeth and the A1 will need to use the new junction to the south of the existing A1/A192/A697 junction.
Footpaths will remain open and two temporary bus stops are available near to the Carillion compound on the A192.
Drivers are thanked for their patience during this stage of the work.
