Garden waste collections have started in Northumberland for the 2017 growing season.
If you’ve signed up for the service you should have received your confirmation and sticker for your bin, and be underway with collections.
If you’ve used the service before but haven’t heard from us, or you’re interested in signing up for the first time, please phone us on 0345 600 6400.

The garden waste collection service provides a convenient way to dispose of cut grass, leaves, weeds, hedge and tree cuttings and small branches.
We collect fortnightly from March until November and the service costs £31 for each wheeled bin.
The garden waste collected is delivered to one of two composting facilities, one at Hexham and one at Ashington, where it is turned into compost or soil conditioner.
If you don’t or can’t use the garden waste collection you can take your garden waste to any household waste recovery centre, free of charge, or even try home composting.
