A sponsored walk and coffee morning took place last month at The Tynedale Centre to raise funds for a local charity.
The fundraising events, which were arranged by people who use the service along with staff to increase dementia awareness, raised just over £800 for the Alzheimer's Society.
The Tynedale Centre, on the outskirts of Hexham, is a daycare centre that supports adults with learning disabilities. Everyone in the day centre participated in the 3.5 mile walk, including service users who use wheelchairs, which ended with a picnic back at the centre.
A cupcake and coffee morning was also arranged to help with the fundraising.
Sean Brennan, Senior Manager at Northumberland County Council said: “I am so proud of the service users at the Tynedale Centre. They all joined in and worked together to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
“We were delighted to help out such a great cause and the money raised will be used to fund research, services and campaigning.”
Northumberland County Councillor Veronica Jones, cabinet member for Adult Wellbeing and Health said: “The service users at the Tynedale Centre put a great deal of time and effort into the fundraising activities.
“I know everyone who took part had great fun and they raised a fantastic amount of money for a very worthy cause.”
