Work is complete on the new town centre coach park for Berwick.
The facility in Chapel Street will provide bespoke coach parking to support tourism and boost the economy of the town, and has been finished ready for the start of the main tourist season.
This week the rising bollards were connected up, signage installed and the bays marked out - putting the finishing touches to the scheme.
It provides four coach parking bays to support coach tourism within the town and is available to visiting coaches between 8am and 7pm.
David Laux, Head of Technical Services at Northumberland County Council, said: “Coach operators can bring a big boost to tourism for areas like Berwick and we want to ensure there are good parking facilities near the centre of town.
“We’re please to have got the work completed ahead of the main tourist season. The new park works hand in hand with the coach drop off on Church Street provided last year to create more facilities for large groups wishing to visit Berwick.”
