Housing and support organisations met with Northumberland County Council tenants in Amble last week (April 11) at a drop-in session.
Organised by the council’s housing team, the event at the Radcliffe Club, aimed at offering tenants advice and guidance. They were able to meet with representatives Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB); Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP); MIND; the local credit union, as well as Amble Parish Council.
The council’s Alnwick housing team, including anti-social behaviour officers, were also on hand to give residents advice on anything related to their tenancy.
Hannah Brewis, Housing Officer for Amble, said: “This drop-in session was a great way for people in the local community to access organisations, which offer help with everything from, financial advice to guidance on personal wellbeing. It was also very helpful for the us in the housing team, to find out more about the issues concerning our tenants.
“It was a great day and everyone who attended said it had been really useful. We hope to be able to offer similar events in the future.”
