Join us at a "Techy Tea Party"

Next month will see Get Online Week help Northumberland residents learn that getting the most out of the internet can be easy and fun.  
 
Running from October 17 - October 23, Get Online Week sees thousands of local events take place each year hosted by community organisations, giving everyone the chance to find the support they need to improve their digital skills and get motivated to learn more.
 
Northumberland Libraries will be holding Get Online Week events at libraries across the county and there’ll be lots of friendly support for anyone who wants to start doing a bit more online - and it’s absolutely free. Techy Tea Parties will be taking place at:
 
  • Amble Library - Friday 14 October at 11am - 12pm
  • Morpeth Library - Monday 17 October at 10:30am - 11:30am
  • Cramlington Library - Tuesday 18 October at 10:30am - 11:30am
  • Blyth Library - Tuesday 18 October at 2pm - 3pm
  • Bedlington Library - Wednesday 19 October at 10:30am - 11:30am
  • Widdrington Library - Wednesday 19 October at 2:30pm -3:30pm
  • Alnwick - Thursday 20 October at 11am -12pm
  • Rothbury Library - Thursday 20 October at 2:30pm - 4pm
  • Haltwhistle Library - Friday 21 October at 10:30am -11:30am
  • Hexham Library - Friday 21 October at 2pm - 3pm
 
Free refreshments will be available.  Book a free place at one of our techy tea parties by visiting Eventbrite or just drop in on the day.
 
Learn how to send an email, shop from your sofa, keep in contact with your friends or relatives, search the internet for information or read free eBooks and eMagazines online.
 
If you need help with your own tablet or device bring it along and library staff can help you. Or perhaps you have always wanted to have a go at some basic coding? Come and have a go with our Dash robots or create something amazing with our programmable Lego and tablet kits.
 
There will also be the chance to find out more about the 1-1 free sessions we have available in libraries to help people improve their digital skills.
