All schools and academies in Northumberland must formally agree their admission arrangements for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Any person or body has a right to object to admission arrangements.
You can only object if a school's number of places available has been reduced. However, governing bodies of community or voluntary controlled schools can also make an objection if the number of places for their school has not changed, or has increased.
Objections should be sent to:
Office of the Schools Adjudicator Mowden Hall Staindrop Road Darlington DL3 9BG
It is not a statutory requirement for local authorities to consult upon their home to school transport policy, however, in Northumberland we believe it is good practice to seek the views of all stakeholders.
A consultation of the School Transport Policy for Children of Compulsory School Age - September 2024 can be found here. This consultation period will run from 4 November 2024 until 16 December 2024. If you would like to express any views regarding this policy, please send them to the School Admissions mailbox: schooladmissions@northumberland.gov.uk
