Whilst we continue working to deliver superfast broadband across Northumberland, we also continue to target the digital inclusion agenda and strive to tackle digital and social exclusion, as well as bridging the digital skills gap.

Currently we are focusing on the development of children and young people in Northumberland to ensure they are ready for the digital world. This is happening via a number of key priorities including the promotion of Code Clubs, CoderDojo’s and the wider Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) agenda.

We are actively working with children in and out of the school environment to deliver various activities including digital and STEM days. If you are a teacher, parent or guardian and would like further information please get in touch. We are also working closely with key partners including Northumberland Libraries, Lloyds Bank, The Raspberry Pi Foundation and Northumberland Care NHS Trust to develop opportunities for everyone across Northumberland to interact with digital technology.

In line with this work we are continuing to recruit digital champions to support the delivery of digital inclusion activity. If you are interested in volunteering or want further information please get in touch and we will be happy to have an informal conversation with you to discuss the opportunities.

We often host or attend events in order to promote digital inclusion, you can view them here. If you would like us to attend a meeting or event in your area please get in touch.

We will update this webpage regularly to provide updates on what we’re up to, but if you have any queries or would like any support please contact us.

If you are a digital champion for us you can view our privacy notice here. This explains how we will use your data, and what your rights are.
