Northumberland Care Leavers - Your Local Offer

If you are leaving care or have left already, Northumberland County Council are committed to supporting you leaving care. We aim to clearly set out your entitlements as part of our care leavers local offer and what you can expect from us in one place, helping you make the most of the services available to you. This Care Leaver Local Offer contains information about all the support and services that we have in Northumberland available to you as a care leaver.

Accommodation Service

Northumberland's accommodation service oversees the accommodation and support options for young people leaving care and homeless 16/17 year olds.

Northumberland Youth Justice Service

The YJS work with young people (aged 10 to 19) with the aim of preventing them from offending, reoffending, and helping them to engage in activities to fulfil their potential.

Young carers

Caring for someone when you're a young person can be difficult. In Northumberland, you may be able to get some help if you look after a parent, brother or sister.

Young people's 14 plus team

The 14+ / 18+ Team provides support to young people from the age of 14 up to the age of 25 years.

Supported Lodgings

We are looking to recruit supported lodgings hosts who can provide good quality accommodation and support to young people aged 16-25 who are in need of accommodation.
