Filming or holding an event

Learn more about filming or holding events on land owned by the council.

Northumberland County Council requires a licence or a filming agreement for use of its land.

Before applying for a licence:
  • Please check the Council’s land ownership map to confirm the land where you wish to film belongs to Northumberland County Council. 
  • A plan will be required to show the relevant areas you wish to use for filming, along with details of the Company and date/duration of time required.

For operating any event on Northumberland County Council land, the applicant is required to submit an online application to the Safety Advisory Group.

The Safety Advisory Group who will then consult with the Neighbourhood Services team to assess the application and consider whether consent can be granted. If consent is granted Strategic Estates would then issue a Licence Agreement including terms and conditions for the applicant's approval prior to occupation of the site on the agreed date and times.
