Tyne Riverside Country Park

Tyne Riverside Country Park follows the River Tyne for four miles through 200 acres of meadows, chalk grassland, woodland and river bank - all within easy reach of the urban areas of Northumberland and a short distance from Newcastle and Gateshead.

Tyne Riverside Country Park Centre is located at Low Prudhoe on the banks of the river Tyne near Prudhoe railway station.

Drone use
Launching drones from County Council land is only allowed with the consent of the Council and where a formal license agreement has been signed. The council reserves the right to refuse consent and where consent is granted will require evidence of your Civil Aviation Training Certificate and public liability insurance.

Tyne Riverside Country Park is a great location for walking, dog walking, cycling and boating.

The visitor centre contains a historical information centre, a small shop selling books, maps, and gifts. There is also a children’s play area and picnic area nearby.

At popular times, the cafe and visitor centre may be open later into the afternoon. 
 

Activities & Events

A weekly park runs takes place every Saturday at 9am, Junior Park Run is Sunday at 9am. Please note that the park and car parks may be busy around this time. Click here to find out more about the park run.
