School consultations

On 17 November 2022 the Council's Cabinet considered the proposal to reorganise schools in the Coquet Partnership to a 2-tier(primary/secondary) structure with effect from 1 September 2024.  Cabinet approved the implementation of the proposals in full.   A copy of the reasons for this decision is available here

 
 

On 17 November 2022 the Council's Cabinet considered the proposal to increase numbers at Barndale House Special School by 50 places through the creation of a satellite site in Amble with effect from 1 September 2024. Cabinet approved the implementation of the proposal in full.  A copy of the reasons for the decision is available here

On Thursday 20th July 2023 the Council’s Cabinet met to consider the proposal to reorganise schools in the Berwick Partnership to a two-tier (primary/secondary) structure beginning on the 1st September 2025 as well as the creation of SEN Units at St Mary’s CE First School and Berwick Academy.
 
Cabinet has approved the implementation of the proposals and a copy of the reasons for the decision is available here.
 

Notice is hereby given that all schools in The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle are consulting on their admissions arrangements for 2024-25.


Please visit www.diocesehn.org.uk/education on 5 December 2022 for the list of schools who are consulting. The consultations will run for a minimum of six weeks between 5 December 2022 and 27 January 2023.
